Subject: G-Research Algorithmic Trading Game
To: Dr. Friedl Katalin <friedl(a)cs.bme.hu>
Hi Friedl
I would like to introduce myself and G-Research.
We are a leading quantitative research and technology company based in
London and we are hosting a mathematically based algorithmic trading
game/event in Vienna at Le Meridien, Robert-Stolz-Platz 1, 1010
Vienna, Austria on Tuesday 9th July at 2pm. We would like to invite
your PhD and Masters students from the Department of Mathematics,
Computer Science and Physics. We will be happy to reimburse travel
expenses so that your students can join us!
We hold your university in high regard and have various alumni that
have gone on to achieve great things in our quantitative development
departments.
Day to day we use a variety of quantitative techniques to predict
financial markets from large datasets worldwide. Mathematics,
statistics, machine learning, natural language processing and deep
learning is what our business is built on. Our culture is academic and
highly intellectual.
Your students will be able to take part in an algorithmic trading game
that will give them insight into the world of quantitative finance
outside of the traditional company presentation. The event will be run
by our Quantitative Researchers and Machine Learning Specialists,
giving your students' knowledge about the industry while also
understanding how their existing maths, physics or computer science
skill set can be transferred into other areas outside their specific
research field.
Would your students be interested in this event? If so, I have a
poster that I'd love to share with you which has all the event details
and how your students can sign up- please see attached. Please also
let them know that we can reimburse travel expense to the event.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Many thanks in advance.
Sophie
Sziasztok!
Ahogy korábban beszéltük, ebben a félévben a múlt heti volt az utolsó
szakkör.
Az átbeszélt feladatokat felraktam a szokásos helyre:
http://cs.bme.hu/~ngg/ACM/felkeszito2019tavasz/
Következő félév elején írok majd, hogy mikor lesz a folytatás, addig is
minden jót és sok sikert az addigi versenyekhez!

Sziasztok!

Sziasztok!
Idén is indul a SZIT tanszék szervezésében a programozási
versenyekre (többek között ACM, TopCoder, Challenge24,
Google Code Jam) felkészítő szakkör. Ennek keretében
-- heti egy alkalommal -- különféle versenyfeladatok megoldásával
tehetitek próbára és csiszolhatjátok feladatmegoldó és programozói
készségeteket.
A szakkör időpontja (szokás szerint):
Péntekenként 14:15 (az első szakkör ezen a héten, febr. 15-én)
A helyszín: az IB.134. (a SZIT tanszéken belül).
A felkészítő szakkör honlapja:

Az alábbi linkre kattintva feliratkozhattok az 'acm-valogato'
levelezőlistára is, ahol a versennyel és a felkészítő foglalkozásokkal
kapcsolatos információkról lehet tájékozódni:

Sziasztok!
Az idei ACM programozási verseny magyarországi fordulója az alábbi
időpontban lesz:
2018. november 11. 9:00-15:00
A versenyre november 7-ig lehet háromfős csapatoknak regisztrálni,
erről bővebb információk itt találhatóak:
