Dear All,
I have set up ETS to not only store, but also test your program code
submitted for the today lab session. I renamed the submission entry "Final
test sample" and put it in the first place on the submission web page.
In preparation for the tomorrow final test, I very much encourage you to
solve the four problems on page:
http://szit.bme.hu/~szeredi/dpait/dp10s-lab-07-07.txt
and submit their solutions to ETS under the "Final test sample"
heading. Note that ETS is clever enough to accept solutions with an order
different from the "standard solution", e.g:
Expected 1 solution(s): [a-d,b-a,c-a,c-b,c-d,d-a],
Got 1 solution(s): [b-a,c-b,c-a,d-a,c-d,a-d].
>>>>> Test completed, the solution is CORRECT.
You can submit a file containing only solutions for a subset of the
problems -- you will get some error messages for the absent ones...
If you have trouble solving this set of problems, or you have any other
questions, please mail me.
(Note that I have added a hint for the helper predicate incr/3 on the above
web page, which is not there in the printed version you received in the
class.)
Also I have made a mirror of the course web page
http://cs.bme.hu/~szeredi/dpait/
here:
http://szit.bme.hu/~szeredi/dpait/
Tomorrow morning there will be a power outage at the site of the original
web page, and so only the mirror page will be available.
Cheers,
Peter Szeredi

Yes, after the ? you can issue commands, e.g. '<n', n > 0 sets print depth to n,
while '<0' sets it to infinity. See the example below.

Dear All,
You can now submit your solution of Assigment 2 to ETS.
A hints page and the tests are available from the homepage
http://www.cs.bme.hu/~szeredi/dpait/
If you still have problems, we can discuss them in class tomorrow (or send
an email, right away).
Cheers,
Peter Szeredi
This is to let you know that on Monday, July 5th, 4pm-5pm there will be a
possibility to take a make up test, of the same form as the mid-course
test. If you take this test, its results will *replace* those of the
mid-course test.
Please send me an email, if you would like to take this test. (I would
suggest that only those of you who had results below 90%, i.e. 18 points,
should participate.)
Cheers,
Peter Szeredi
Dear All,
I have marked the mid-course tests.
You can view the points received by logging in to
ETS: http://sintagma.szit.bme.hu:4321/
and clicking on the My results link.
Tomorrow you'll have the oportunity to check the marking of your test and
discuss it with me, if needed.
Peter Szeredi
PS: the max points for the subtasks in the test were:
1: 3
2: 6
3: 5
4: 6
5: 5
I will be available at AIT from around 1.15 pm, to answer your questions,
if any, concerning the test.
Note that it is a ``closed book'' test. You must not use the computer during the
test. However, you may ask me for clarification or hints, if needed.
Also, those of you, who would like to get some extra time for the test may
start writing the test at 1.45 pm.
Please tell your classmates about this email, so that everyone is aware of
these options.
Cheers,
Peter Szeredi
This is just to let you know that the course web page:
http://cs.bme.hu/~szeredi/dpait/
has been updated to include the problems of the two hands-on labs, the
tests and the assignment.
I have also made available a **second sample mid-term test**.
Happy problem solving!
Feel free to email me any questions you may have.
Cheers,
Peter Szeredi
